Frequently asked questions.

What makes your approach different?

I blend personal training, manual therapy, and holistic health coaching to support the whole person — not just muscles and workouts. I see the body as a system where movement, posture, breath, nutrition, and nervous system health are all connected.

Coaching with me is personal and hands-on. It’s not just a one-hour workout and “see you next week.” I stay involved. I guide you to create real change — in how you move, how you recover, how you eat, and how you show up for yourself every day. The goal is to build strength, balance, and awareness that carry through every part of your life.

What is manual therapy, and how can it help me?

Manual therapy is a hands-on approach that involves techniques like massage, myofascial release, and joint mobilization to relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, and improve movement.

It’s often used to address issues like chronic tension, postural imbalances, recovery from injury, and stress-related discomfort. The goal is to help your body relax, restore function, and support your overall wellbeing — whether or not you’re also doing personal training.

Is this just for athletes or people who already train?

No! I work just as much with seasoned athletes as with people who’ve avoided the gym because it felt intimidating. If you’re new to training, this is the perfect place to start. My approach helps you understand the language of movement, gain confidence, and become independent — so eventually, you’ll be your own trainer.

What if I’m injured or have movement limitations?

With my background in massage therapy and corrective exercise, I help you regain confidence in your movement safely and progressively. Science today is clear: movement is medicine. For too long, people avoided moving after injury, but now we know that the right movement actually speeds recovery.

I’ll tailor your training plan to address muscle imbalances and injuries from day one. As you improve, we’ll increase intensity and challenge—always at your pace.

What massage therapy techniques do you use?

I use a blend of techniques tailored to your needs, including:

  • Myofascial release to ease tight connective tissue and improve mobility

  • Deep tissue massage for working on chronic tension and muscle knots

  • Trigger point therapy to relieve specific areas of pain and referred discomfort

  • Joint mobilization to restore movement and reduce stiffness

  • Relaxation massage to calm the nervous system and reduce stress

  • Thai massage and assisted stretches to increase flexibility, release tension, and improve circulation through gentle, guided movements

Each session is customized to target your unique issues and support recovery and relaxation.

Do you work with clients who have chronic pain or conditions like fibromyalgia?

Yes. I’ve worked extensively with clients managing chronic pain conditions, including fibromyalgia. My approach integrates evidence-based principles of pain science, focusing on graded exposure to movement, nervous system regulation, and manual therapy to address soft tissue restrictions and imbalances.

By combining movement re-education with manual techniques and lifestyle adjustments, we aim to reduce central sensitization, improve functional capacity, and support long-term pain management — all tailored carefully to your unique needs and tolerance levels.

Can I combine your coaching with other fitness or medical treatments?

Absolutely. My work complements other therapies and training. I communicate clearly with your healthcare providers when needed to ensure we’re all aligned and working together to help you reach your goals.

What kind of results do people get?

Clients often say they feel stronger, lighter, and more at home in their bodies. They move with greater ease, experience reduced pain or tension, sleep better, and feel less reactive or stressed. Beyond physical changes, many are surprised to gain improved discipline, focus, and productivity that carry over into their work and daily life.

Therapeutically, the combination of movement and manual therapy helps restore balance, reduce chronic discomfort, and support the nervous system — all contributing to better overall wellbeing.

How often should I train to see results?

Most people see steady progress training 1–2 times per week with me, plus 1–2 focused homework sessions on their own. This balance builds strength and good habits without risking burnout.

Do you offer online or remote coaching?

Most in-person clients get access to a hybrid solution — an app that lets you do workouts at home or in the gym between sessions. For those who want a fully remote option, I offer 100% online coaching, including physical assessments via Zoom and personalized training programs delivered through the Trainerize app.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your session will be charged in full. Please give enough notice so we can reschedule properly.
